Mental Wellness
We understand that mental health is a vital part of student success and well-being. That’s why we’re proud to offer dedicated mental health support through Liliana De La Rocha MA, LMFT and Jaime Deanne Garcia MA, AMFT (Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist), who are available to assist students across our alternative education programs.
Jamie and Liliana provides a safe, confidential space for students to discuss challenges, build coping skills, and receive personalized support. Whether you’re navigating academic pressures, personal struggles, or just need someone to talk to, Liliana and Jamie are here to help.
How to Connect:
-
Request a Meeting: At La Cuesta, students can easily schedule time with Liliana using the Minga Hall Pass app on their school iPad or smartphone.
-
Drop-In Visits: Stop by Room 8 at La Cuesta High School, Monday through Wednesday to meet with Liliana in person.
-
Alta Vista Campus: Jaime is available Monday through Thursday
Important Information:
-
Jamie and Liliana will conduct an initial mental health screening to better understand a student's needs. Please note that this does not guarantee ongoing mental health counseling through FSA (Family Service Agency).
-
However, if needed, referrals may be made to appropriate agencies that can offer the necessary services.
-
Parents seeking additional mental health resources for their students or themselves can contact Margarita Rodriguez, Alternative Education Program Family Liaison, for further assistance.
Your mental health matters, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
