Mental Wellness

We understand that mental health is a vital part of student success and well-being. That’s why we’re proud to offer dedicated mental health support through Kellye Bramel, MA, LMFT, who is available to assist students across our alternative education programs.

Kellye provides a safe, confidential space for students to discuss challenges, build coping skills, and receive personalized support. Whether you’re navigating academic pressures, personal struggles, or just need someone to talk to, Kellye is here to help.

How to Connect with Kellye:

  • Request a Meeting: Students can easily schedule time with Kellye using the Minga Hall Pass app on their school iPad or smartphone.

  • Drop-In Visits: Stop by Room 11 at La Cuesta High School, Thursdays, to meet with Kellye in person.

  • Alta Vista Campus: On Fridays, Kellye is available at the Alta Vista Campus for students enrolled in AVIS programs.

Important Information:

  • Kellye will conduct an initial mental health screening to better understand a student's needs. Please note that this does not guarantee ongoing mental health counseling through FSA (Family Service Agency).

  • However, if needed, Kellye will provide referrals to appropriate agencies that can offer the necessary services.

  • Parents seeking additional mental health resources for their students or themselves can contact Margarita Rodriguez, Alternative Education Program Family Liaison, for further assistance.

Your mental health matters, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
